All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final Replay
Tipperary will play Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final Replay on Saturday September 27th at 5pm in Croke Park. Brian Gavin from Offaly has being appointed as referee. This will be his third senior assignment, having previously taken charge of the 2013 drawn final between Clare and Cork and the 2011 decider, also between Kilkenny and Tipperary. Wexford’s James Owens will be the standby referee with James McGrath (Westmeath) as the other linesman and the sideline official will be Alan Kelly (Galway). The three weeks since the drawn game have gone by very quickly and with only days left before the replay the team is in excellent condition and in excellent frame of mind and have remained very focused on the job to be done. The team will be announced after training tomorrow night Thursday 25th September. We wish the team and management the very best of luck on Saturday and hopefully the Liam McCarthy Cup will be back in Thurles on Sunday evening.
Tipperary Last Training Session
Training will be open to the public on Thursday September 25th at 7:00pm for the last training session of the Tipperary senior hurling team before Saturday’s All Ireland Hurling Final Replay meeting with Kilkenny. We encourage supporters to come along and give the Tipperary team a big send-off before the final. The senior management team, players and the County Board would like to thank everyone for their support which has been wonderful. Keep it up.
Turn the County into Blue & Gold
Again we appeal to everyone in the county to keep the Blue & Gold colours flying in the lead up to Saturday’s game and to wear the Blue & Gold colours at work, school, shopping etc from Friday onwards. Let’s turn the weekend into a great occasion and ‘’ Turn the County into Blue & Gold ‘’.
