ALL IRELAND MINOR FOOTBALL QUARTER-FINAL
The Tipperary Minor Football panel will play Galway in the Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Championship Quarter-Final on Bank Holiday Monday next August 3rd at 4pm in O’Connor Park, Tullamore. Following on from their Munster Final defeat Charlie McGeever’s side will be looking to get their fortunes back on track as they bid to reach the semi-final. Best wishes to the team and management on Monday and it would be of tremendous support to see as many as possible in Tullamore on Monday to support the side. The referee for this fixture will be Martin McNally from Monaghan.
ALL IRELAND SENIOR HURLING SEMI FINAL
Now that the dice has been rolled, the Tipperary Senior Hurling panel know that Galway will be formidable opponents in Croke Park, on August 16th next in the All-Ireland semi-final in what will be the most important match of the year to date for the team.
It will be three weeks of intense preparation for Eamon O’Shea and his squad as they plot the chart to maintaining what we all wish will be a safe passage to the All-Ireland Final. Following Galway’s impressive victory on Sunday, the expectations of Tipperary supporters will have to be measured in ensuring a balanced lead up into the game.
Tickets are already on sale at tickets.ie and supporters are encouraged to buy in time and get the word out to friends and colleagues also to ensure maximum Tipperary support in Croke Park on the day.
ALL IRELAND MINOR HURLING SEMI FINAL
Ahead of the senior semi-final the Tipperary Minor Hurlers play Dublin at 1.30pm in the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All Ireland Minor Championship 2015 Semi Final. Liam Cahill’s side are one step away from an All-Ireland appearance as they look to kick on from their Munster Final success.
TIPPERARY GAA DRAW
The Tipperary County Board Draw for July 2015 was held in the Clonmel Óg Club House, last Friday night, with the main winners on the night being as follows; 1st prize of a Skoda Octavia or €15,000 went to Margaret Stanley, From Clonan, Roscrea, with the winning ticket sold by the Roscrea Club, while 2nd prize of a Skoda Fabia or €10,000 sold by the Knockavilla Kickhams Club went to Alice Hayes, from Ballygriffin, Golden, Cashel. Congratulations to Margaret and Alice on their success and remember it is not too late to join the New Tipperary Draw. You can join through your local club of direct via the Tipperary GAA website.
SEMPLE STADIUM
Many thanks again to all the wonderful staff of Semple Stadium who once again delivered the goods by having the “Field of Legends” in pristine condition on another hectic weekend of matches. The professionalism of all staff in every aspect of stadium affairs ensured what was hopefully a perfect experience for all supporters.
THE BOY WONDER OF HURLING
The launch of “The Boy Wonder of Hurling” the story of Tipperary hurling legend the late Jimmy Doyle, will take place at Thurles Sarsfields’ Social Centre on Wednesday August 19th at 7.30pm. Written by former Irish Examiner GAA correspondent, Diarmuid O Flynn, and edited by former Tipperary Star Editor, Michael Dundon, the book is published by Sliabh Ban Productions, which is headed up by RTE GAA correspondent/commentator, Brian Carthy.
It will be launched by the President of the GAA, Aogan Ó Fearghaill before a gathering that will include a host of GAA celebrities, past and current. The book was to have been launched in July but due to the untimely passing of Jimmy in June, was re-scheduled for August. The Doyle family and Sliabh Ban Productions are extending an open invitation to all GAA enthusiasts to come along on the night for what promises to be a very special occasion to honour one of the greatest ever hurlers.

Best wishes to the Tipperary Minor Ladies football side who take on Armagh and hope to win back to back All-Ireland Ladies Football titles at the Minor B grade when they take on the Ulster champions on Saturday next at 2pm in Kinnegad.
Tipperary and Armagh met in last year’s All-Ireland semi-final at St. Peregrines GAA Blanchardstown before Tipperary’s class eventually shone through as the Premier County scored five second half goals to set them up for All Ireland success defeating Offaly in final.

Membership is €30 per person, unchanged since 2006.
