All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi – Final
The countdown begins to another meeting with Kilkenny in this year’s All Ireland Hurling Final on the 7th September. Tipperary who produced a tremendous display and their best performance this year defeated Cork by 2-18 to 1-11 in front of a massive crowd at Croke Park last Sunday. Nearly 69,000 came to see the first meeting ever of these two counties at Croke Park in a championship game. Goals from Seamus Callanan in the sixth and 47th minutes paved the way for an emphatic win for Tipperary who lead by 1-7 to 0-8 at the interval. The victory means Tipp now lead the head-to-head with 38 championship wins to Cork’s 37. This was a massive second – half performance by Tipperary who outscored Cork by 1-11 to 1-3 and indeed the Cork goal was only a consolation score near the end of the game. Great credit must go to all the Tipperary players who played yesterday for producing such a big performance and for giving Tipperary fans at home and overseas something special to look forward to on the first Sunday in September. Great credit must also go to the management team and their backroom team for their great work in preparing the team for last Sunday’s encounter and for getting everything right on the day. Thanks to all supporters who travelled to Croke Park in such great numbers and for their vocal support during the game. It would be great to see every home in every town and every household throughout the county displaying a Tipperary flag in the weeks leading up to the All Ireland Final. So come on let’s turn the county into blue and gold.

We expect a big demand for Tipperary merchandise so get to Lar na Pairce as soon as you can in order not to be disappointed if what you are looking for is sold out and therefore out of stock.
Divisional Semi -Finals
Next weekend is a very busy weekend with the Divisional semi- finals taking place and with some great games in prospect. All of the games in each of the Divisions should draw some very big crowds as each game will be closely contested and very difficult to predict a winner. A lot of the county players will be in action again and of course we all hope that all of them get through the games injury free.

This survey is an important part of the overall consultation process and the aim is to collate the feedback from the hurling community about the game as it stands and also to find out what supporters would like to see in the future.
