Tipperary Senior Footballers
Tipperary will face Antrim this Sunday 24th May at 3.15pm in Corrigan Park, Belfast, in Round 2A of the Tailteann Cup.
Tickets are available to purchase online through Ticketmaster or via participating Centra and SuperValu outlets. Please note that no cash or tap and go facilities will be accepted at the venue.
The sides’ last championship meeting came in the 2024 Tailteann Cup and also took place in Corrigan Park, Belfast, where Antrim were victorious on a 4-12 to 2-13 scoreline. Conor Sweeney and Paudie Feehan were Tipperary’s goal scorers on the day.
The counties also met in 2012 when Tipperary recorded a 0-10 to 0-8 victory over Antrim in Round 3 of the qualifiers at FBD Semple Stadium. Alan Maloney starred for the hosts with six points as Tipperary led 0-6 to 0-4 at half time. The sides were level during the second half before Tipp edged ahead late on and withstood a late Antrim push for a goal to secure the win.

Tipperary Senior Hurlers
Hard luck to the Tipperary Senior Hurlers who lost out to Clare last Saturday evening in FBD Semple Stadium in the Munster Championship with Clare winning 1-25 to 0-17.
The opening minutes were evenly contested with the sides trading scores and level at 0-5 each after 19 minutes. However, Clare hit six points without reply over the next 10 minutes to put distance between the sides which Tipperary never recovered from. Clare led 0-14 to 0-8 at half time. Tipp needed a great start to the second half but it was Clare who got it with an Ian Galvin goal inside the opening minute stretching their lead to nine points. Clare remained on top throughout the remainder of the half with Tipp unable to make any dent in their lead.

This Clare result, along with Limerick’s defeat of Waterford, means that Tipperary can no longer finish in the top three and progress to the All Ireland series.
They have one game left in the group stage when they take on Limerick this Sunday 24th May at 4.00 pm in TUS Gaelic Grounds. We would urge all supporters to get out and show their support for the players and management who have shown great commitment throughout the year. The game will be live on Tipp FM for those who can’t make it.
There have been 77 previous championship meetings between the sides. Tipperary lead the way with 36 wins to Limerick’s 29 while there have also been 12 draws.
The aggregate scoring returns from those 77 championship meetings see Tipperary on 197-869 (1,460 points) with Limerick not far behind on 174-839 (1,361 points).
Over the last five championship meetings, Limerick have been successful on three occasions while there have been two draws. Last year’s meeting in FBD Semple Stadium ended level at 2-23 each. Before that, in 2024, Limerick recorded a 2-27 to 0-18 victory while the 2023 clash also finished in a draw, 0-25 apiece. Limerick were victorious in the 2022 encounter by 3-21 to 0-23 while the Treaty men also came out on top in the 2021 Munster Final on a scoreline of 2-29 to 3-21.
Tipperary Under 20 Hurlers
Hard luck to the Tipperary Under 20 hurlers following their Munster Final defeat to Clare last Wednesday after a titanic tussle between two excellent sides. Tipp suffered heartbreak as the provincial title was ultimately decided by a dramatic penalty shootout.
Clare made the brighter start and opened up an early lead before Tipp settled into the contest. The Premier gradually worked their way back into a tight first half and a Jamie Ormond goal just before the break helped give Tipp a 1-11 to 0-10 half time advantage.
Clare responded quickly after the restart with a Marco Cleary goal early in the second half. The sides then traded points before a Stefan Tobin goal midway through the half saw Tipp regain the lead. Tipp stretched their advantage to three points with seven minutes remaining but a Fred Hegarty penalty goal brought Clare level once again with six minutes left. Hegarty added a point a minute later to edge Clare in front before Cormac Fitzpatrick converted a late free to force extra time with the sides level at 2-18 each.
Extra time followed a similar pattern, with little separating the teams throughout. Clare led 2-23 to 2-22 at the interval in extra time and moved two clear early in the second period but points from David Costigan and Eoghan Doughan brought Tipp level once more at 2-24 each, sending the game to penalties.
An excellent standard of penalties followed, with both sets of takers impressing along with goalkeepers Paddy McCormack and Mark Sheedy. Clare eventually emerged victorious by 4-3 after six penalties each.
Congratulations to Clare on their victory. Both sets of players produced a fantastic display and a great advertisement for Under 20 hurling.
Unfortunately, with the provincial runners-up not progressing further, Tipp’s season now comes to a close.
A huge thank you to all the players for their tremendous commitment and effort throughout the year. Sincere appreciation also to Brendan Cummins, Fintan O’Connor, Thomas Costello, Paddy Stapleton and the entire backroom team for their dedication and hard work throughout the season.

Tipperary Minor Hurlers
Pride of place goes to the Tipperary Minor Hurlers who claimed the Munster Minor Hurling title last Friday in FBD Semple Stadium with a 3-16 to 0-18 victory over Limerick. It was a 43rd Munster Minor title for Tipperary.
Tipperary made the ideal start to the game with a Conall Morrison goal in the third minute. Limerick settled well into the contest and had the scores level after twenty minutes at 1-4 to 0-7. The Shannonsiders took the lead for the first time three minutes later but a KJ Dunne goal for Tipperary before half time restored the Premier County’s advantage as Tipp went in at the break leading 2-6 to 0-10.
In what was a very even battle, Tipperary managed to hold onto their lead throughout the second half despite strong attempts from a spirited Limerick side. With only three points between the teams entering the closing stages, a well finished Conall Morrison goal two minutes into injury time secured the title for Tipperary.
Galtee Rovers St Pecaun’s Conor Collins accepted the John Doyle Cup after the game alongside corner forward Zach O’Keeffe who is the great grandson of the legendary John Doyle. Congratulations also to Conall Morrison who was named Man of the Match after finishing with an impressive tally of 2-4.
As provincial champions, Tipperary now progress directly to the All-Ireland Semi Final which is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 14th June.

Congratulations to the Tipperary Senior Camogie side that had a fantastic victory over Waterford last Saturday in FBD Semple Stadium in the Munster Final.
Tipperary Masters
Well done to the Tipperary Masters hurling team who recorded a hard earned 1-19 to 1-17 victory over Cork Masters last Sunday in Borrisoleigh, making it two wins from two. Cork led 0-12 to 0-10 at half time with Tipperary’s goal coming from Borris-Ileigh’s Matty Stapleton early in the second half.
FBD Insurance County Leagues
In the Hurling League, Division 1 Group 1 saw Clonoulty Rossmore edge past Kiladangan on a 0-20 to 1-16 scoreline last Saturday. Despite the defeat, Kiladangan finished top of the group level on six points with Clonoulty Rossmore and Nenagh Éire Óg, progressing on score difference.
Kiladangan advance directly to the Final where they will face the winners of the Semi Final between Cashel King Cormacs (Group 2 winners) and Carrick Swan (who topped Group 3). Swan secured top spot after Loughmore Castleiney recorded a 2-20 to 1-14 victory over Roscrea last Sunday morning. A win for Roscrea would have secured first place for them.
Division 2 has now concluded with the Semi Finals confirmed as Killenaule against Clonakenny while Éire Óg Annacarty Donohill will take on Boherlahan Dualla.
In Division 3, Sean Treacys secured top spot in Group 2 following an impressive 3-25 to 1-20 home victory over Borrisokane. They will face Group 1 runners up Golden-Kilfeacle in the Semi Final while the other Semi Final sees Portroe host Arravale Rovers.
Division 4 Semi Finals are also confirmed with Holycross Ballycahill facing St. Patrick’s while Moyle Rovers take on Toomevara.
Things remain unclear in Division 5, with several games still to be played. In Group 1, top spot is still up for grabs. Carrick Davins currently leads the standings but the final group game this Thursday evening will decide matters. A victory for Ballybacon Grange at home to Moycarkey Borris would secure top spot and a direct place in the Final ahead of Davins. A Moycarkey Borris win or draw would see Carrick Davins finish top.
Group 2 has concluded with Cashel King Cormacs progressing to the Semi Final. However, their opponents, the winners of Group 3, have yet to be decided, with several fixtures still outstanding. Three games are scheduled in that group next weekend.
In Division 6, Clerihan progressed directly to the Final after topping Group 1. Group 2 winners Moyne Templetuohy will face Group 3 winners Killenaule in the Semi Final
The Hurling League Semi Final’s are scheduled for next weekend.
In the Football League, Golden Kilfeacle produced an impressive 4-11 to 0-9 victory over Ardfinnan in Group 1, booking their place in the Final against Moyle Rovers.
The Division 2 Football Final will see Grangemockler-Ballyneale take on Moyne-Templetuohy.
In Division 3, St. Patrick’s claimed a dramatic 3-9 to 0-17 victory over neighbours Ballingarry last Friday. The win secured St. Patrick’s a place in the Final where they will face Ballingarry once again in a repeat fixture.
Division 4 Football remains wide open, with several games still to be played in the eight team group.
The Football Finals are scheduled for the weekend of May 31st.

Under 14 Super 10 Hurling Tournament
Tipperary GAA will host a Under 14 Super 10 Hurling Tournament in Coolmore Morris Park, Thurles, beginning on 8th June with the County Final fixed for 17th June.
The competition will feature 10 a side hurling, with a maximum panel of 12 players permitted per team.
The closing date for registration is Friday 22nd May, with entries to be submitted via Microsoft Forms: forms.cloud.microsoft/e/mdNATW2LY9
The winners of the competition will go on to represent Tipperary in Munster.
Tipperary GAA Cúl Camps – Coach Recruitment
Tipperary GAA are currently recruiting coaches for the 2026 Cúl Camps programme. Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before 6th July.
Full training and support will be provided before camps begin, with camps taking place throughout the county, offering successful applicants the opportunity to work locally and gain valuable experience.
The role also provides a strong reference for CVs while helping to deliver fun, safe and active camps for children across the county.
Camps will run from Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, beginning on Sunday 6th July.

The Friends of Tipperary Football Golf Classic will take place in Thurles Golf Club on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June 2026.

Tipperary GAA would like to offer heartfelt condolences following the tragic passing of Laura Kennedy. Laura was a dedicated and talented camogie player who proudly represented Burgess Duharra Camogie Club and was also involved with Tipperary County Development Squads over a number of years. Her passing at such a young age has brought immense sadness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Laura will be fondly remembered as a valued teammate, loyal friend and a young woman who made a positive impact on those around her both on and off the field. We extend our deepest sympathies to her parents Annette and John, her twin sister Aishling, the Kennedy and Connors families, her clubmates in Burgess Duharra and her wide circle of friends.
