Tipperary GAA Press Release
A chairde,
Tipperary County GAA Board wishes to confirm, as already released by GAA HQ, the postponement of this weekends double bill in Semple Stadium which was due to take place next Sunday, March 4th. This means that the Allianz Football League Division 2 Rd 5 fixture v Louth and the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A Rd 5 fixture v Cork will not go ahead. Both these games will be re-scheduled by the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) on Monday morning but they will more than likely go ahead the following Sunday, March 11th, at the same venue and times. Tickets purchased will be valid for the re-fixture.
Tipperary Co. Board has also postponed all Tipperary Co. Hurling League games fixed for this weekend and these will be rescheduled by County CCC next Monday night.
As a result of Sunday’s postponement in Semple Stadium, the Tipperary Supporters Club pre match function for promoters will not now go ahead in the Dome and the post match Tipperary GAA Draw function in the Anner Hotel is also deferred until further notice.
Other events affected include the Semple Stadium Stewards Course scheduled for this Friday evening and Saturday morning in the Dome which has also been cancelled due to the adverse weather.
The Tipperary GAA March monthly draw fixed for Lee’s Bar, Newport this Friday night will not go ahead either and has been deferred for one week to Friday March 9th, at the same venue.
The Tipperary GAA Merchandise Shop and offices at Lar na Pairce will be closed from today March 1st at 1pm until Monday morning next March 5th at 10am.
Finally, Tipperary Co. Board advises all friends and supporters to please stay safe and use caution in this unprecedented weather event.
