Tipperary Camogie Notes

U18 C County Championship Final
Eire Og Annacarty 2.13 Portroe 1.07
Played in front of a large crowd in the Drom & Inch G.A.A field there was very little between these two teams until the final ten minutes when Annacarty pulled away from Portroe to deservedly win the U 18 c trophy Both teams and mentors deserve congratulations for producing a great game of camogie.

Group 1 U12 Final
Eire Og Annacarty 1.06 Clonoulty/ Rossmore 3.01
The standard of camogie from these young girls was exceptional, after fulltime the teams could not be separated and the match went into extra time where Clonoulty came out on top with the narrowest of margin. Well done to all concerned in training Tipperary’s future stars.

JIM HAYDE R.I.P.
It was with great regret to all in Tipperary camogie that the death occurred of Jim Hayde last Friday 15/11/2013. Jim was a great stalwart of Tipperary camogie as a fundraiser he was involved with our fundraising committee as a valued umpire to numerous referees and as a supporter of both club and county camogie. At his removal Tipperary Camogie formed a guard of honour from numerous clubs alongside his local club Thurles Sarsfields and also Tipperary County hockey players. His happy demeanour at our matches will be sorely missed. We extend our sympathy to all his family. May he rest in peace.
