Tipperary camogie fielded three teams in intercounty competitions this weekend with very disappointing results losing all of their matches ,however field and weather conditions contributed in no small way their performances

Senior league Div 1
Limerick 1.14 Tipperary 1.07

Limerick caught Tipperary cold with a point and a goal after only 2 minutes of play Tipperary’s Goalie Orla McEniry blocked the first shot but limerick managed to scramble the rebound into the net. With limerick playing well Tipperary were giving away frees which were converted. Cait Devane kept Tipperary in touch with a point and a couple of frees, however midway through the first half Tipperary conceded a penalty which Orla McEniry saved and cleared .Tipperary trailed 0.03 to 1.06 at halftime.

Tipperary improved in the second half and Shauna Quirke along with Sarah fryday were putting pressure on the Limericks defence with captain Cait devane keeping the Tipperary scoreline tipping along. However Tipperary were giving away a lot of frees and were punished for this .Substitute Megan Ryan scored a great individual goal but Tipperary could not close the gap and ended up losing 1.07 to 1.14 a disappointing result but there is better to come from this young side in the coming weeks.
