Tipperary 0-9 Galway 1-11

Tipperary Seniors played Galway in the Irish Daily Star National League Division 1 on Sunday 15th March in the Camogie grounds the Ragg. Even though they lost by 5pts this was a great game of camogie. The sides were level 9 pts each with 15 minutes to go, when Galway’s Laura Mitchell got through the Tipperary defence for a goal. Galway`s Niamh McGrath got the first score of the game with a point from a free and again a second from a free. Cait Devane scored Tipperarys first point from a free, at half time it was a draw game 6 points each.

In the second half it was score for score until 15 minutes from the end when Laura Mitchell scored a goal and a point which saw Galway come away with a win. Tipperary can come away from this game with a positive attitude they played their best game so far this year and can only get better. Scores for Tipperary Cait Devane 0-7pts (6 from frees) 1pt from play, Caoimhe Maher 0-1 Sarah Fryday 0-1.

Minor A Munster semi final 2015

In Limerick’s LIT GAA grounds, Tipperary Minors took on Limerick Minors in the Munster Semi-Final. Limerick were the first to score after ten minutes Aisling Scanlon scored 1pt from a free, after 15 minutes of play Tipperary got their first score from a 45, Grace O Brien putting it over the bar. Limerick`s Aisling Scanlon got next score again from a free. Ciardha Maher Tipperary was the first to score from play with a point. Limerick replied with another point from Rebecca Noonan. Niamh Treacy Tipperary got a point from play,just before half time Roisin Howard Tipperary after a great run from mid field passed the ball to Niamh Treacy who put the ball into the left hand corner of the net. Score at half time Tipperary 1-06 Limerick 0.06.

In the second half Tipperary took control of the game with another goal and a point from Niamh Treacy and a point from Roisin Howard. Orla O Dwyer who replaced Lorna O Dwyer added another goal, Keely Lenihan replaced Niamh Treacy and also scored a goal. Limerick had no answer to Tipperary after that.
