TIPPERARY ALLIANZ CUMANN NA MBUNSCOL REPORT 7th APRIL BY JOHN MANLEY
GRANGEMOCKLER OVERCOME ARDFINNAN IN CLASSIC (MATCH REPORT FROM GRANGEMOCKLER NS)
On Thursday the 27th of March Ardfinnan travelled to Grangemockler for round one of the Cumann na mBunscol hurling competition. From the first whistle, Grangemockler were on top, controlling the ball. At the end of the first half Grangemockler went in 2-05 to no score. The players who scored for Grangemockler were Jamie Walsh (1-02) and Mikie Lyons (1-03). In the second half Ardfinnan fought back bravely. Sean Og Coughlan hit over an early free. The second half was a much closer game. Then Grangemockler looked like they were pulling away again with points from Brandon (0-01), Jamie (0-01) and Mikie (0-02). Although the score difference was significant, Ardfinnan continued to battle with great defending from Andrew Browne. With about five minutes to go Ardfinnan were awarded a penalty which Sean Og drove over the bar. A long ball in over Grangemockler heads was ran onto by Sean Og. He cleverly hit the ball along the ground with a powerful strike and landed it into the corner of the net leaving the Grangemockler keeper, Michael Kane with no chance whatsoever. The referee Philip Kane blew his whistle leaving Grangemockler winners by a score of 2-09 to 1-02. A good match with great sportsmanship from both teams. A huge well done to all players.

All hurling and camogie fixtures for Under 11 Go Games and Under 13 Competitions have been posted to our website http://cnmb.tipperary.gaa.ie/ should you need to access any of this information.
COUNTY FINAL DATES PROVISIONALLY FIXED
The Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol County Finals in Hurling and Camogie are provisionally fixed for Thursday 5th and Friday 6th of June, in Semple Stadium. Please keep these dates free from School Tours etc. The Semple Stadium Committee have committed to these dates for us. The only problem that could arise is if Limerick and Tipperary draw their Munster Senior Football championship match on the previous Saturday, in Limerick. If that is a draw then the replay will probably be in Semple Stadium on Saturday 7th June. This decision will be made by Munster Council. That could leave us in a difficult position as the Stadium is not allowed have matches in the days leading up to a Munster Senior championship game. If this is the case our back up dates for Finals will be Monday June 9th and Tuesday June 10th.
