All in Coiste na nOg congratulate the teams and managements of our senior and minor All Ireland hurling champions. With two superb displays Tipperary hurling future is right at the top. Our seniors bridging an six year gap put on a blistering performance commencing at the back row right up to the full forward line. Its was very pleasing to witness our defense forcing the Kilkenny forwards to concede frees from which resulted in additions to the Tipperary score line. As 2016 is a very special one in the history of our great nation as its the centenary of 1916 rising which spring boarded the independence we all now enjoy. Also in September of 1916 Tipperary collected their ninth All Ireland title with an eight point victory over Kilkenny and what a joy it was on Sunday September 4th 2016 to have the Premier County defeat the Norsemen once again by nine points to collect title number twenty seven. Even though further success did not come until nine years Tipp managed to top the roll of honnour for a number of years later. Let’s hope that we can build on the success of this year and rise up to the top position. As our minors bridged a four gap the conveyor belt is rolling well and we look ahead to contesting U 21 honours in the near future. Once again Congratulations to all involved.
