Last weekend we had the penultimate of our semi finals as the U 14 Hurling action was down for the reckoning. The A semi final contest between west champions Cappawhite Solohead and north champions Roscrea ended up in stalemate after extra time with a very high scoring return from both outfits. 2-11 on most outings would be sufficient to be victorious but for Cappawhite Solohead this just was not the case as Roscrea even though being held goalless clocked up 0-17 thereby sending the matter to another game. In the other semi final Drom Inch with a tally of 1-17 proved to be enough as they overcame Carrick Swan whose scored 4-5.
In the B contests Lorrha Shannon Rvs had an emphatic victory over west side Arravale Rovers, while mid champions Boherlahan Dualla proved too strong against south champions Grangemockler Ballyneale.
In the C action Eire Og Annacarty had a six point winning margin against Roscrea on a 3-6 to 2-3 score reading.
