Thiobraid Arann Bórd Na Nog Scene

The last semi final of the season took place in Cashel on Saturday last with the staging of the U16 A Hurling semi final between Mid champions Drom Inch and Carrick Swan of the south. Even though the mid champions were going into this game with the favourites tag it was the south nominated team that were really up for the action. Within the opening ten minutes they were in front on a score of three points to one. At the interval they held a commanding lead 1-07 to 04. Upon the resumption they clocked up a further 2-04 while conceding 1-04 to qualify for the final on a concluding score reading of Carrick Swan 3-11 Drom Inch 1-08. Drom had a few injury problems but full credit has to be accorded to Carrick Swan that despite all the upheaval within their division they now find themselves battling for county glory on Saturday next against north champions Kilruane MacDonaghs. The final is taking place in Littleton @2pm which is being refereed by Fergal Horgan from the Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams club.

Another reminder that our medal presentations will take place in Hayes Hotel on Friday November 22nd
We urge all our various county championship winning clubs to ensure that they will have both their captain and trophy present on the night. Parents, brothers, sisters of the captains are most welcome as well as club personnel.
Medals will be presented to our U 15 Hurling team who won the Carrigdhoun tournament final in Cork. Unfortunately they have been our only victorious county panel this year.
Our Annual General Meeting is taking place in Hayes Hotel, Thurles on Tuesday December 3rd commencing @ 8pm.
