O Sullivan leads Clonmel Og to U14B Title
Clonmel Og 3.7 Carrick Swan 3.6
In the opening u14 final which was staged in Cloneen last week, a fine performance from Captain Cian O Sullivan guided Clonmel Og to the U14 b title, with a one point victory over Carrick Swan.
Clonmel Og Started brightly, and were four points up before swan opened there account. A goal by Rhys o Regan, put Clonmel Og six points up coming to half time, but on the stroke of half time Swan goaled to leave the scoreline 1.6 to 1.3 in favour of Clonmel Og at the break.
In the second half patrons viewed some fine football as play swung from end to end. Cian o Sullivan hit the net twice for the Og, while swan had green flags through the impressive In Holloway, and Jack Connolly.
With a final swan attack, and Clonmel Og leading by a point , a free fell short into the Clonmel Og square, and referee Tadhg Lonergan blew the final whistle.
Credit to both sides for a excellent game of football, and even though the honours rested with Clonmel Og, Carrick Swan lost nothing in defeat. Both sides have many fine players that will be heard of again in years ahead.
Best for Clonmel Og were Cian o Sullivan, Tj Quigley, Rhys O Regan and Davin O Keefe. While for Swan Noel Anyanwa, Jack Connolly, Ian Holloway and Jack Murphy gave all.
