Seamus was born on June 26th 1993 and plays for the Clonmel Commercials club (Football) and St. Mary’s Clonmel club (Hurling). Seamus was part of the Tipperary Minor Hurling panel in 2010 and 2011 and the Tipperary Under 21 Hurling panel in 2012 through 2014. Seamus has also represented Tipperary at Minor Football in 2011 and Under 21 Football in 2013 (as captain) and 2014. Seamus made his Senior Hurling Championship debut at wing-back in the 2016 Munster Senior Hurling Quarter-Final victory over Cork. Seamus won a Munster Senior Hurling medal at wing-back in 2016 before going on to win an All-Ireland Senior Hurling medal that year, scoring a point from play in the final from wing-back. Seamus has won five County Senior Football Championship medals with Clonmel Commercials in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 as well as a Munster Club Senior Football medal in 2015. Seamus was nominated for a Hurling All-Star award in 2016 at wing-back. Seamus made his competitive debut for the Tipperary Senior Footballers in the 2015 McGrath Cup Quarter-Final defeat to Cork. Seamus made his football championship debut at wing-back versus Waterford in May 2015, scoring a point from play. in 2016 Seamus made his championship debut for the senior hurlers against Cork in the Munster Championship Quarter Final where he played at right half back. He was a member of the All Ireland winning team in 2019 and scored a point in the final.
