Jason was born on December 22nd, 1993 and plays for the Silvermines club. Jason played Minor Hurling for Tipperary in 2010 and 2011 (as captain). Jason was also part of the Tipperary Under 21 team which played in the Munster Finals of 2012 and 2013 and captained Tipperary in the 2014 Munster Under 21 Championship. Jason has won 2 Munster Senior Hurling medals in 2015 and 2016 and 2 All-Ireland Senior Hurling medal in 2016 and 2019, scoring 2 points as a sub in the final versus Kilkenny in 2016 and a total of 8 points from corner forward in the 2019 encounter. Jason won an All-Ireland Post-Primary Schools medal with Nenagh CBS in the 2011/2012 season. Jason won a Fitzgibbon Cup medal with the University of Limerick in 2015 and again in 2018. At club level, Jason won North, Tipperary and Munster Intermediate Hurling medals with Silvermines in 2012. Jason made his Senior inter-county debut in the semi-final of the 2013 Waterford Crystal Cup, scoring three points from wing-forward against LIT. Jason made his National League debut as a second half substitute against Cork in February 2013, scoring two points from play. Jason made his Championship debut as a second half substitute against Kilkenny in July 2013. Jason was nominated for an All-Star Award in 2019.
