Jake is aged 21 and plays for the Nenagh Éire Óg club. In 2016, Jake won All-Ireland and Munster minor medals with Tipperary, where he also received the Man of the Match Award for his display in the Munster Final. In 2018 he won an All-Ireland Under 21 hurling medal lining out at left corner forward. In 2019 Jake was to the fore as Tipperary claimed the inaugural Munster and All Ireland Under 20 titles.  Jake was introduces as a sub in the 60th minute of the 2019 All Ireland Senior Final and he scored 0-1 after his introduction helping  Tipperary to victory over Kilkenny. Jake was nominated for the Young Player of the Year Award in 2020.
