Hibernian Inn North Tipp SHC News
The dates and venues for the opening round of the North Tipp Senior Hurling Championship will be known in the coming days.
The first four games will be played on weekend 11th May:
Burgess v Lorrha Dorrha
Borris-Ileigh v Moneygall
Templederry Kenyons v Nenagh Éire Óg
Roscrea v Kilruane MacDonaghs.
The remaining games will be played on w/e 18th May as follows:
Portroe v Borrisokane
Silvermines v Ballina
Kildangan v Toomevara

Junior A Hurling League
The opening games of the North Junior A Hurling league will start this weekend.
GROUP 1
This weekend there are three fourth round games. Knockshegowna are away to Burgess on May 2nd. The following day Nenagh Eire Og face Roscrea and Toomevara are at home to Moneygall.
The league table is as follows:
Nenagh Eire Og Played 3= 5 pts
Knockshegowna Played 3 = 4 pts
Burgess Pl 2 = 4 pts
Roscrea Pl 2 = 3 pts
Toomevara Pl 3 = 0 pts
Moneygall Pl 3 = 0 pts
GROUP 2
The next round of games involves Borris-Ileigh v Kilruane MacDonaghs and Silvermines looking for their first win against Templederry. The up to date league table is as follows:
Kildangan Played 3=5pts
Borris-Ileigh Played 2 = 3 pts
Kilruane MacD Pl 2 = 2 pts
Templederry Pl 2 = 2 pts
Silvermines Pl 3 = 0 pts
Junior B Hurling
GROUP 1
Kildangan 1-17 Ballinahinch 1-12
Portroe 4-17 Lorrha 2-18
This third round win puts Kildangan on top with 5 points followed by Portroe on 4 points. Lorrha remain in third place with 2. Ballinahinch will play Newport on this Saturday 3rd may with Lorrha to take on Kildangan on the 5th May.
GROUP 2
A draw between Toomevara and Borrisokane leaves the group wide open.
The league table is: Nenagh 4 pts; Silvermines 2; Borrisokane 2; Ballina 1 and Toomevara 1.
Two round 4 games will be played this coming Monday. Ballina will play Toomevara and Borrisokane face Silvermines.
Minor A Football
Very little progress is made of the North Minor A Football championship. In the latest attempt to play, Newport Gaels will play Ballina on this Thursday 1st May. Inane have a bye.
Minor B Football
The Group stages of the Minor B grade is now complete. The last results were as follows
Results: Burgess received a W/o against Kilruane MacDonaghs
Borrisokane 0-11 Portroe 1-5
Silvermines 5-9 Lorrha 2-4
As a result the path is clear for the semi finals which will be played this coming week
Kildangan v Silvermines in the first semi final on May 1st with the venue to be confirmed and Borrisokane take on Burgess in Puckane the same day. See fixtures.
