North Tipp had a clean sweep last weekend when our representative clubs won all their Co Semis against Mid Tipp Division. Firstly, in A Grade, Kilruane overcame Drom & Inch 5-6 to 3-3 whilst in B Grade Silvermines recorded 3-5 to 0-5 against Holycross. Also on Saturday, Templederry beat Loughmore 2-5 to 1-7 in a very close C semi and in Grade D Roscrea also had a single point victory over Drom & Inch with a score of 3-5 to 4-1. Well done to all four clubs and the very best of luck from all in North Tipp CNG in the County Finals next Saturday in Littleton, where they will all meet the winners of the South/West Tipp semi finals.

Last week in A grade, Roscrea saw off Newport with a single point win which means that Kildangan, Nenagh and Roscrea must all play off to decide the final semi spot and the quarter final pairing. The CCC in association with the three clubs decided on a three way play off with the first leg on this Tuesday between Kildangan and Roscrea. The winner of this game will meet Nenagh next Monday to decide who goes to the semi. The two losers will then contest the quarter final on Monday Sept 1st. Toomevara and Kilruane have already qualified for the semis which will take place on Saturday Sept 6th. Meanwhile in B Grade last Monday, Borrisileigh beat Shannon Rovers 1-12 to 0-10 in a very close game whilst Burgess had only a single point to spare over Silvermines. This means that Borrisokane will next host Burgess in the first semi and Moneygal will be at home to Borrisileigh in the second semi. Both semi’s will take place next Monday evening.
