All roads lead to Toomevara on Saturday next for the 2014 U12 North Hurling finals. Games will begin at 11:30 sharp with the D Grade final followed by the C final at 12:30, the B at 1:30 and the A final at 2:30. All times are fixed and no slippage will be allowed. In A Grade this year Roscrea and Kilruane will battle it out. Roscrea reached the final thanks to a strong display against Kildangan whilst Kilruane had a big win over Nenagh, scoring four goals in the process. This should be a cracker with the winner expecting to go all the way. In B Grade Lorrha will play Silvermines as Lorrha overcame Borris-Ileigh with unexpected ease in the semi and Silvermines had plenty to spare over Burgess. The grade C semis turned out to be the closest games of all with just one score separating both games. In the first semi, Shannon Rvrs beat Ballinahinch by a goal whilst Templederry had just a single point to spare over Moneygall which means that we have an eagerly awaited final between Shannon Rvrs and Templederry. Finally in Grade D we await the winner of the Roscrea 3rd Team and Kilruane 2nd’s who play their semi tonight ( Weds) with the winner advancing to play Toomevara 2nd’s. So the final line up’s are as follows : ( D ) Toomevara 2 v Roscrea3/Kilruane2 @ 11:30. ( C )Shannon Rvrs v Templederry @ 12:30pm. ( B ) Lorrha v Silvermines @ 1:30pm and ( A ) Roscrea v Kilruane @ 2:20pm. Best of luck to all teams.

Last week in Rd 4, Roscrea beat Kildangan 2-8 to 0-5 and Toomevara had 4 points to spare over Nenagh whilst Silvermines had a bye. This week in A Rd 5 we have Roscrea v Toomevara and Nenagh v Silvermines. This is the last pool Rd and the semi pairings will be finalised. The final standings will then become clear and with Borris-Ileigh the clear group leader, there will be a dogfight for the other semi and remaining quarter final placings. In A grade last Monday we saw Toomevara 2-18 to Kildangan 1-15 and Kilruane 2-16 to Newport Gaels 3-11. The Roscrea v Nenagh game was postponed due to a bereavement. The results so far predict that this will be a very tight group with five of the six teams reaching the knockout stages. This year, the sixth team will not qualify. Next Monday we will have Kilruane v Roscrea, Nenagh v Kildangan and Toomevara v Newport Gaels. Meanwhile in B grade on Monday last in Rd 4, we saw wins for Moneygall, Borrisokane, Borrisileigh and Shannon Rvrs. Next Monday we have Burgess v Ballina, Silvermines v Moneygall, Portroe v Shannon Rvrs and Borrisokane v Borris-Ileigh.
