Social hurling started in Mid Tipperary pre Covid and is now making a welcome return. The brainchild of Morgan Lanigan was a huge success with players coming from all over the county for a few pucks on Sunday mornings.

Some of the lads playing are carrying a few stone, a few knocks and a good few years but they absolutely love getting out for a game with their mates once a week. The games is very similar to what we all used to play as kids, get a ball scatter out around the field and hurl for as long as you can, the pace of the game may be slower but the size of the smiles and the maturity of the jokes are exactly the same.
The group are looking for as many newcomers as possible and will be delighted to hear from anyone interested. The games will restart on February 20th at 11:30 on Holycross Ballycahill’s Astroturf. If you are interested in playing contact Morgan on 083 353 3893 or Eoin on 086 021 0043.
