County Action:
Loughmore Castleiney defeated Kilsheelan Kilcash to reach the County Quarter finals proper and are the division’s only remaining representatives in the Senior football championship. In the hurling equivalent, Drom-Inch and Thurles Sarsfields progressed to the last 4 along with Nenagh Eire Og and Kilruane MacDonaghs. The semi final pairings were not known at the time of going to print.

In the Intermediate Hurling championship, Clonakenny received a walkover from Rockwell Rovers in the preliminary quarter finals while Mid Champions Drom-Inch face South Champions Kilsheelan Kilcash on Wednesday night in Clonoulty for a place in the County Quarter finals where they will join Thurles Sarsfields.

In the Junior A county quarter finals, Mid Champions Moyne-Templetuohy were defeated by Roscrea while a win last week for Thurles Sarsfields leaves them as the last remaining Mid team. There were also wins in the Intermediate Football County Quarter finals for Upperchurch Drombane and Holycross Ballycahill.

Thurles Credit Union Mid Minor A Hurling championship
Following the final 2 group games which were played in the last week the semi final pairings are now known and see Holycross Ballycahill face table toppers JK Brackens while Thurles Sarsfields face Drom-Inch in the other semi final. Further details of these fixtures shall be known following this week’s CCC meeting.

Jim and Ann Kennedy Mid Junior A football
Loughmore Castleiney and Thurles Sarsfields will have played the semi final by the time of publication and the winner will face Gortnahoe Glengoole in the Mid final this weekend. See Mid fixtures for details.

Mid Minor B football Championship
Loughmore Castleiney and Upperchurch Drombane face off in the Mid Minor B football final this Wednesday in Littleton at 8pm. Upperchurch Drombane will be looking to avenge the group stage defeat while Loughmore will want to gain an upper hand over the team who they face in the Minor hurling semi final also.
