All Ireland Minor Football final: We wish the Tipperary management and players the very best of luck in the All Ireland final against rivals Kerry in a repeat of the Munster final. We especially wish all the representatives from the Mid Division best of luck and hope that they can bring home an All Ireland Title.

Mid Senior Football final: Congratulations to Loughmore Castleiney who were crowned Gleeson Quarries Mid Senior Football Champions following a one point victory over Drom-Inch in what was a fantastic final. The fact that it took extra time to decide this contest highlights how close the game and the lead changed hands on several occasions throughout the game. Winning captain Cian Hennessy collected the cup on behalf of the winning team while James Egan was named Man of the Match. We wish them well in the county championship.

Opel / GPA Player of the Month: Well done to Drom-Inch’s Seamus Callanan who was voted as GPA /Opel Player of the month for August following his fantastic display against Galway in the All Ireland Semi final in which he scored 3-9.

Roskeen Construction Mid Junior A Hurling final: Well done to Moyne Templetuohy who were crowned Junior A hurling champions following their two point victory over Thurles Sarsfields. We wish both teams best of luck in the County Quarter finals.

Thurles Cash and Carry Mid Junior B championship: Gortnahoe Glengoole and Moycarkey Borris qualified for the final of the Mid Junior B hurling championship following semi final victories over Boherlahan Dualla and Upperchurch Drombane respectively.

Eddie Connolly Trust Family Dog Night: Time is running out for Clubs to support the “Eddie Connolly Trust” and avail of the opportunity to win a set of jerseys for your Club. Race 5 at the “Family dog Night” at Thurles Greyhound Stadium on Friday next 18th September is the “Tipperary GAA Clubs 525”. For 100 euro your Club is allocated a dog in the race with the Clubs on the winning dog going into the draw for the set of sponsored jerseys. The response to this venture and the project in general has been phenomenal and a tribute to the generosity of the wider GAA community. It is also a tribute and a huge support to Eddie and his family as he battles his illness. We would ask all the gaels of the county to come out and support this fundraiser on Friday night for what is a great cause. Also at the moment on social media, clubs are partaking in a Score 4 Eddie in which they score a goal or point and nominate another club to also do so within 24 hours. Once they have completed the score a donation can be make by everybody by simply texting the word MATCH to 50300 and a donation of €4 will be made to the Eddie Connolly Trust and St Luke’s Hospital.

Yours in sport,
