Clean Ireland County Senior Hurling Final:
This weekend sees Thurles Sarsfields face Nenagh Eire Og in the county senior hurling final which takes place in Semple Stadium. We wish the Mid representatives well in their quest for Dan Breen.

Clean Ireland County Intermediate hurling final:
The intermediate County final is an all Mid affair as Thurles Sarsfields face Clonakenny. The Thurles side will go into the game as favourites given their recent form while Clonakenny have regrouped since their exit from the Mid championship and have come through the county campaign most notably defeating North champions Newport in the semi final.

Clean Ireland County Intermediate Football final:
Best of luck to Upperchurch Drombane who face Clonmel Og in the County intermediate final on Sunday in New Inn which throws in at 3pm. Upperchurch will look to go one step further then last year and step up to the senior grade.

Thurles Credit Union Mid Minor A & B hurling finals:
The Minor A hurling final takes place this Bank holiday Monday in Drombane when Drom-Inch face Holycross Ballycahill with throw in scheduled for 3pm. This will be an eagerly contested game as Holycross Ballycahill will look to keep their hold on the minor title which they have been to the forefront in the last few years while Drom-Inch will be looking to add the hurling title to the football crown which they won last weekend. This game shall be preceeded by the B final which will be contested by Loughmore Castleiney and Gortnahoe Glengoole. Loughmore like Drom-Inch will be looking to secure the hurling/football double while Gortnahoe Glengoole are having a very good year at all grades and will look to add to their County U16 B hurling title with this minor crown.

Mid Minor A football Final:
Well done to Drom-Inch who defeated JK Brackens in the Minor A final which was played in Templetuohy on Saturday last on a score of 3-7 to 0-9. This was a very keenly contested game and despite the JK Brackens side trailing by a point at half time following a goal by Tipperary County Minor footballer Tommy Nolan they came out and went two points up after ten minutes of the second half but late goals from Ciaran Thorpe and Kevin Hassett sealed the game for Drom-Inch side. (See photo below of Cup Presentation Vice Captains Emmett Moloney and Paul Hennessy receive cup from Mid Board Chairman Joe Kennedy. Also present in photo is Mid Board Secretary Sally Young).

Minor B Football Final:
Well done to Loughmore Castleiney who defeated Gortnahoe Glengoole in the Mid Minor B final recently and also defeated Borrisokane last weekend in the county semi final which took place in Moneygall. We wish them well in the final

Jim and Anne Kennedy Junior B football:
Upperchurch Drombane defeated Moycarkey Borris last weekend by a single point to reach the Mid final where they will play the winners Clonakenny and Boherlahan Dualla.

AFL Contract:
Best of luck to Colin O Riordan who departs for Australia to take up a 2 year AFL Rookie contract with Sydney Swans.

Yours in sport,
