County Challenge Cup
On Saturday last, Holycross Ballycahill emerged from Carrick on Suir with a win following their victory over Carrick Swans while on Sunday there were 2 all Mid ties as JK Brackens faced Thurles Sarsfields which resulted in a seven point victory for Thurles Sarsfields while Upperchurch Drombane had a 1 point victory over Loughmore Castleiney. In the other games last weekend, Clonakenny hosted Clonoulty Rossmore in their first senior game of the year which resulted in a comprehensive win for the men from the West while Moycarkey Borris traveled to Toomevara but came away defeated by a score of 0-16 to 0-11.
This weekend sees the remaining fixtures to be played in Round 1 with Drom Inch and Moyne Templetuohy facing North teams this Sunday as they travel to face Moneygall and Lorrha Dorrha respectively. Round 2 is due to be played on the weekend of 19th / 20th of March.
