Mid Tipperary GAA Scene – June 2nd 2015

Centenary Agri Mid Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship: The Mid Senior hurling championship group stages will be completed this weekend when on Wednesday night Drom-Inch face Moyne Templetuohy in the final group game with both teams needing a win to progress to the divisional semi finals along with Thurles Sarsfields. On Saturday in Division 2 Loughmore-Castleiney face Upperchurch-Drombane in Boherlahan. While in Littleton, Boherlahan Dualla face JK Brackens in the final game in division 1. Depending on the outcome of the Tipperary v Waterford Munster Senior football quarter final , this game may be changed from Saturday 6th June to Friday 5th June.

Roadstone Mid Intermediate Hurling Championship: On Saturday evening in Littleton, Thurles Sarsfields face Gortnahoe Glengoole in the Losers’ Group Semi final which will see one of the teams eliminated from the Mid Championship whilst the victors will play Holycross Ballycahill for a place in the semi finals.

Mid Junior hurling Leagues: All finals of the junior hurling leagues are due to take place this weekend. Last weekend saw the junior division 2 final between JK Brackens and Thurles Sarsfields take place.

Junior & Leaving Certificate Examinations: The Mid Board would like to wish all those who are doing their Junior and Leaving Certificate exams the best of luck.

County Final Long Puck: The County Final of the Senior and U16 Long Puck will take place again this year on the Galtee Mountains on Saturday 13th June. Contestants are asked to assemble in Lisvernane at 10.00AM.

Contestants are asked to bring an assistant to help with flagging.

County Under 21 Football Championship:
Mid champions Loughmore Castleiney face Newport Gaels in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Under 21 A football semi final on Wednesday 17th June in Templederry at 7.30pm. On the same night Mid Under 21 B champions Upperchurch Drombane face Portroe in Dolla at 7.30pm. We wish both teams best of luck in their efforts to reach the county finals.

Mid Junior A & B hurling Championships:
The first rounds of the Mid Junior A hurling championship will start on the weekend of 14th June while the Junior B Group 1 championship will take place on the same weekend with Group 2 of the same championship kicking off on the weekend of the 21st June.
