Centenary Agri Mid Senior Hurling Final
Congratulations to Thurles Sarsfields who were crowned Mid champions following a one point victory over Loughmore Castleiney by a score of 1-17 to 2-13. Played on front of a hugh crowd the game was a closely fought game from the throw in. Paudie Maher accepted the Johnny Ryan Cup from Mid Chairman Joe Kennedy on behalf of the Thurles Sarsfields side. Well done also to Pa Bourke who was named Man of the Match. Credit is also due to the host club Upperchurch Drombane for having the facilities in super condition and to all their stewards who were on duty on the day.

Roadstone Mid Intermediate Hurling Final
Well done to Drom-Inch who defeated Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid Intermediate final by 4 points on a score of 0-15 to 0-11. Despite trailing at the break by 2 points, the men from the Ragg produced a fantastic second half display to go ahead and claim the Treacy Cup for the club’s first time since 1995. Well done to Paul Kennedy who was named man of the match in the final.

Gleeson Quarries Mid Senior Football Championship
Drom-Inch claimed their place in this year’s Mid Senior football final following a 1-10 to 0-8 victory over JK Brackens in Templetuohy on Wednesday last. They now play Loughmore Castleiney in the final in the coming weeks.

Cahill Cup:
This year’s Cahill Cup final will be played in Holycross on Friday next between Drom-Inch and Holycross Ballycahill.

Mid Junior A Championship:
The semi final pairings are now known following last week’s final round of group games. Loughmore Castleiney finished top of the table and will face Moyne Templetuohy while there will be an all Thurles affair in the other semi final as Thurles Sarsfields will face Thurles Gaels. See Fixtures section for details of these semi finals.

Family Race Night and Auction:
On Friday 18th September in Thurles Greyhound Stadium there will be a Family Race night and auction in aid of the Eddie Connolly trust fund which has been set up by Loughmore Castleiney GAA club to help Eddie and his family with the cost incurred for the ongoing treatment he is receiving in Spain. Tickets cost €10 which includes entry to the track on the night. On the night there will be 10 races and an Auction. Tickets will be €10(Buster Ticket and Entry), Under 16’s go free. Tickets can be bought from any family member or any member of the Loughmore Castleiney GAA Club.
