Round 3 of the Allianz National Football League Division Three
Last Saturday night in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise, Tipperary faced Laois in Round 3 of the Allianz National Football League Division Three. This was a game that Tipperary needed to win after their last match defeat to Sligo in Semple Stadium. Tipperary rose to the occasion on the night and in their best performance in the League so far had a great win over Laois defeating them by 1-16 to 1-10 and sets them up nicely for their next game in the League which is at home next Sunday against Longford and is part of the double header at Semple Stadium where the Tipperary hurlers play Clare the same day. Congratulations to the management and team on a great away victory over Laois and we wish them the very best for next Sunday’s clash with Longford. Thanks to all the supporters who travelled to Portlaoise last Saturday night to support the team and we hope that next Sunday the Tipperary supporters will come early to Semple Stadium to support the footballers whose match again Longford starts at 1pm.

Dublin – Friends of Tipperary Football
On Wednesday 8th February 2017 the Dublin working group of the Friends of Tipperary Football held their inaugural meeting in Chaplin’s Public House on Hawkins’ Street. This working group will no doubt be of huge benefit to the fundraising efforts and to the profile of the Friends of Tipperary Football going forward. We wish the new group every success. Congratulations to Membership Draw Winners
Congratulations to the winners of our recent draw, Fergus Ryan from Littleton who was the winner of two tickets to the Tipperary and Laois match last Saturday night in Laois. Also congratulations to Brian Coen, St Patricks, Wicklow who is the winner of two tickets to Tipperary’s next match in the Allianz Football League which is on in Semple Stadium next Sunday 5th March 2017 against Longford. Membership tickets will be on sale in Semple Stadium on the day.

Just to note for your diary. The Annual Golf Classic of the ‘’Friends’’ will take place in Thurles Golf Club on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd June 2017. More information will be provided as we come closer to the event.
Sympathy
We extend our sympathy to the Ryan family of Bouladuff, Drom on the death of Con who was our esteemed President of the Friends of Tipperary Football. Con also served as Chairman of the ‘’Friends’’ and did tremendous work in fundraising and promoting football in Tipperary. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
