FBD Insurance today launched the exciting final furlong of the 2022 Tipperary Hurling Club Championships. In what promises to be a series of thrilling Senior semi-final encounters Kiladangan face Drom & Inch whilst Upperchurch Drombane take on Kilruane MacDonaghs. Both fixtures will take place at FBD Semple Stadium on Sunday October 9th. Meanwhile on Saturday October 8th in the Premier Intermediate its Roscrea v Burgess in Nenagh and St Mary’s v Gortnahoe Glengoole in Leahy Park Cashel. The Finals are scheduled to be played over the weekend of Oct 22nd/23rd.

 

FBD’s partnership with the club game in Tipperary includes sponsorship of all Senior Hurling and Senior Football County Championship Club games and all other Tipperary club championships from minor grade upwards. In addition the company sponsors the Camogie championship, the Tipperary County Leagues and in 2022 became the first naming rights partner of Semple Stadium with the iconic venue now known as FBD Semple Stadium.

Speaking at the launch, Tipperary GAA County Board Chairman Joe Kennedy welcomed the various representatives from FBD Insurance along with players and team officials from the remaining participating clubs in the Senior and Premier Intermediate Hurling championships and said “The relationship between Tipperary GAA and FBD Insurance continues to grow and develop, not only do we have the FBD Insurance County championships we also now play many of our games in FBD Semple Stadium, yet another example of FBD’s commitment to Tipperary GAA and the clubs of the county.”

 

Joe also said “To date in 2022, the FBD Insurance County Hurling Championships have seen some of the most competitive and close fought games been played across all the various grades from under 19 to Senior and we look forward to many more very entertaining games as we enter the latter stages of the championships.”

 

Chairman of The FBD Trust, Michael Berkery added “We are delighted to have developed such a fantastic relationship with Tipperary GAA over the past few years and the Club Championships have been very much at the forefront. Like the GAA club FBD is very much a local entity which we feel allows us to develop unique and strong relationships with our customers.”
