Munster GAA Press Release
Postponement of AIB Munster Club SH Semi-final – Thurles Sarsfields v Na Piarsaigh
Following the tragic death of Thurles Sarsfields selector, Jack Griffin, last Saturday, Munster Council has postponed next Sunday’s AIB Munster Club senior hurling championship semi-final between Na Piarsaigh and Thurles Sarsfields by 1 week until Sunday November 15th at 2pm at Páirc na nGael, Limerick.
Munster Council extends its deepest sympathy to the family of Jack Griffin and the Thurles Sarsfields club at this very sad time. The Council also wishes to thank Na Piarsaigh for their agreement to the Thurles Sarsfields request to postpone the game as a mark of respect to the late Lt. Col. Griffin.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
