Mid Tipperary GAA Scene – November 30th 2015

Mid Under 21 Hurling Championship
There were 3 games played last weekend in both the A & B competitions with Drom-Inch setting up a losers group final against Loughmore Castleiney following a 2-13 to 0-10 victory over JK Brackens on Friday night while in the Horse and Jockey Kia sponsored U21 B competition Moyne Templetuohy Og’s semi final win over Thurles Sarsfields B earns them a Mid final place against Upperchurch Drombane who defeated Gortnahoe Glengoole.

Mid Junior B football:
Clonakenny defeated Boherlahan Dualla last weekend to earn a place in the Mid Junior B football final.

County Minor B Hurling Semi final:
Hard Luck to Loughmore Castleiney who were defeated by West champions Clonoulty Rossmore in the county minor B football final last weekend which was played in very testing conditions. Given the appalling weather conditions, there was just a kick of the ball between the sides with the men from the West winning by 1-4 to 0-8.

Mid Convention:
The Mid Convention will be held in Sarsfields Social Centre on Friday 11th December at 8pm

Mid Award Winners 2015:
Well done to Drom-Inch who were named as Mid Senior club of the year while Clonakenny were named as Intermediate club of the year following their county final victory. Stephen Cahill of Thurles Sarsfields and Paul Shanahan of Upperchurch Drombane picked up Senior hurler and footballer of the year awards respectively while Lyndon Fairbrother of JK Brackens and Tommy Nolan of Drom Inch were named Young Hurler and Footballer of the year for 2015. Mikey Ryan of Holycross Ballycahill shall be inducted into the Hall of Fame. All the individual awards shall be presented at our awards night which shall be held in January.
