Munster Minor Football Final: Best of luck the Tipperary Minor footballers as they travel to Killarney on Sunday to take on Kerry in the Munster Final.

Centenary Agri Senior hurling Championship: JK Brackens booked their place in the semi final of the Centenary Agri Senior hurling championship with a victory over Moycarkey-Borris in Drombane on Friday night by a score of 2-19 to 2-10. They now face neighbours Loughmore Castleiney in the semi final while Drom-Inch square up to Thurles Sarsfields in the other semi final. These semi finals are pencilled in for the weekend after the Munster Senior Hurling final and will be reviewed after the Munster final.

Cahill Cup: The quarter finals of the Cahill Cup take place on Tuesday 7th next. Holycross Ballycahill have home advantage over Loughmore Castleiney while Moycarkey Borris welcome JK Brackens to Littleton in a repeat of the last week’s Mid Quarter final while Thurles Sarsfields meet Boherlahan Dualla in the Outside field in Thurles. All games have a 7.30pm throw in. The remaining quarter final between Drom-Inch and Moyne Templetuohy takes place on Friday 10th in the Ragg.

Roadstone Intermediate Hurling Championship: The Mid Intermediate championship semi final draw was made at the last meeting and it pitted Drom-Inch against Clonakenny while Thurles Sarsfields face Moycarkey Borris in the other semi final. These games are also like the senior semi finals pencilled in for the weekend of the 17th / 18th / 19th July.

Roskeen Construction Junior A Hurling championship: The Mid Junior A hurling championship continues this weekend on Saturday with 3 games down for decision. In Templetuohy, Moyne Templetuohy play Thurles Gaels, while Thurles Sarsfields entertain Drom-Inch in the Outside field in Thurles and finally in Templemore JK Brackens face Loughmore Castleiney. All games have a 7.30pm throw in time.

Thurles Wholesale Cash and Carry Junior B Championship: There was one game in the Junior B hurling championship last weekend when Upperchurch Drombane defeated Killea in the opening round of group 2 by 1-14 to 0-6. This weekend sees a game in both groups as in Group 1 Thurles Gaels face Moycarkey Borris who will look to keep their 100% record. The game takes place in Kickham Park on Friday night at 7.30pm. In Group 2 Thurles Sarsfields face Boherlahan Dualla at 7pm in the Outside field in Thurles.

Junior A Football Championship: The first round of the Junior A & B football championship is due to start the weekend of the 24th / 25th / 26th July.

Trophies: All clubs are asked to return trophies which were won in 2014 to their delegates before the next CCC meeting which will take place Monday week. Please ensure that all trophies are returned engraved and good condition.

Relegation: Last Saturday seen the all Mid relegation play off between Boherlahan Dualla and Moyne Templetuohy in Holycross. As in all these games it was a game of nerves and for the first half it was a fierce battle with neither side willing to bow down to the other. However just before half time, an injury to Boherlahan talisman Darragh Hickey (who had scored 1-4 up until this) swung the game in favour of the men from Moyne. They kicked on in the second half with goals from John Hassett and Diarmuid Fogarty along with the unerring free taking from Martin Kelly proving to be too good for Boherlahan Dualla who won by a score of 3-20 to 1-13. This was a sad day for the Boherlahan club but with some fine underage players coming through they will rebuild and fight their way back to the top table. Holycross Ballycahill and Cappawhite will play their play off game on 17th July in Dundrum.
