Scór na nÓg – Craobh an Chontae 2014

What a night of celebration of the best of Irish Culture we had in Holycross on Friday night last when the County Final of Scór na nÓg took place. Scoth den cheol, den amhránaíocht, den scéalaíocht, den drámaíocht agus den rince a bhí á léiriú ann agus tá moladh thar na bearta tuillte ag na hiomaitheoirí uile. Bean an tí on the night was Seosaimhín Ní Chathail and she wished all the winners the best in the Munster Semi-Finals which will take place on Sunday 4th of January in Halla na Féile Cashel.

All divisions were represented in the competition and bhí na moltóirí thar a bheith sásta le taispeántas na hoíche. Brendan Maher,Captain of the Tipperary team was special guest on the night and expressed his appreciation of the young peoples’ commitment to excellence and he reminded the audience of his own participation in and enjoyment of Scór before Hurling consumed his energies. He also wished our young performers going forward to the Munsters the very best. Our sincere appreciation to our hosts on the night and to all Scór officers who helped on the occasion. Dhein sibh éacht.
