Steven O’Brien

Steven was born on December 22nd 1994 and plays for the Ballina club.

Steven was part of the Tipperary Minor Football panel in 2011 and 2012, winning Munster and All-Ireland medals in 2011. Steven lined out with the Tipperary Under 21 Footballers and Senior Footballers in 2013, making his Senior Football Championship debut at midfield versus Galway in June 2013. Steven won Munster and All-Ireland Minor Hurling medals with Tipperary in 2012. Steven played Under 21 Football with Tipperary in 2013, 2014 and 2015, winning a Munster Under 21 Football medal in 2015. Steven won the Opel GAA/GPA Football Player of the Month for May 2015 following his performance against Waterford in the Munster Senior Football Quarter-Final, scoring six points from play.

Steven was part of the 2014 Tipperary Under 21 Hurling panel. In March 2012, Steven helped Nenagh CBS win the All-Ireland Senior A Hurling title lining out at centre forward and scoring two points. Steven won North and County Intermediate Hurling medals with Ballina in 2013.

Steven made his competitive debut with the Tipperary Senior Hurlers in February 2014 as a substitute in the Waterford Crystal Cup Final victory over Clare. Steven won a Sigerson Cup medal with Dublin City University in February 2015.
