John O’Dwyer

John was born on September 17th 1991 and is a member of the Killenaule club. John played Minor Hurling with Tipperary in 2008 and 2009 and Under 21 Hurling in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (as captain) – winning Munster and All-Ireland Under 21 Hurling medals in 2010 lining out at corner-forward. John won a Munster Senior Hurling medal in 2015, lining out at corner-forward and scoring 5 points in the final v Waterford.

John made his Senior inter-county debut with Tipperary in the 2013 Waterford Crystal Cup Quarter-Final, lining out at right half-forward v Limerick scoring a point from play. John made his Championship debut as a second half substitute v Limerick in the 2013 Munster Senior Hurling Championship, scoring 1-3 from play.

John was voted as the GAA.ie player of the week following his performance in the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final drawn game versus Kilkenny when he scored 7 points, 5 from play including the equalisier. John was nominated for an All-Star award in 2014 and 2015, winning an All-Star in 2014 at wing-forward. John won the RTE man of the match award following his seven point haul against Limerick in the 2015 Munster Senior Hurling Semi-Final.

At club level, John has won 4 South Tipperary Senior Hurling medals with Killenaule.
